Day 1 - Quebec City Boarding

Wednesday, June 28th, 2017

Historic Centre of QuebecOur journey begins in North America's, "Cradle of French Civilization" - Quebec City. We embark our ship the mv Canadian Empress, home for the next six days as we cruise the St. Lawrence River. We enjoy the Captain’s Welcome and Reception, before heading out for a tour of the harbour and a viewing of Montmorency Falls and Quebec City at night.

Day 2 - Trois-Rivieres

Thursday, June 29th, 2017

We depart Quebec City early this morning. Enjoy views of the stunning cliffs that stretch up to the Plains of Abraham, and the extraordinary river scenery of the St. Lawrence before we stop at Trois-Rivieres. We arrive and leave the ship for a short tour of Cap-de-la-Madeleine founded in 1651 and renowned for its basilica. We return to our ship for the night.

Day 3 - Montreal

Friday, June 30th, 2017

Montreal IslandThis morning we sail south to Montreal, the largest city in Quebec. The city is set on an island in the Saint Lawrence River and named after Mount Royal, the triple-peaked hill at its heart. Here we enjoy a two-hour sightseeing tour and then some free time to explore the city on our own before we return to our ship. Tonight, we sail through the Seaway Lock system and overnight in Lachine.

Day 4 - Upper Canada Village

Saturday, July 1st, 2017

We depart Lachine bound for Upper Canada Village this morning. We pass through the Beauharnois Locks and the Eisenhower and Snell Locks into Lake St. Lawrence. Later we arrive in Upper Canada Village Crysler Park Marina and have time to stroll the marina and grounds.

Day 5 - Prescott - Brockville

Sunday, July 2nd, 2017

After breakfast we take a miniature train to meet horse-drawn wagons for a tour of Upper Canada Village. This living museum preserves the traditional way of life of the pioneers of the 1860's. We return to our ship and sail to Prescott Ontario where we leave the ship and take a tour of Fort Wellington. This fort was first built in 1812 to defend the St. Lawrence River shipping route from possible attacks by the Americans. Our final destination today takes us to Brockville - the City of a Thousand Islands. We overnight here and have time to relax or stroll along the park walkways.

Day 6 - Cruising the 1000 Islands

Monday, July 3rd, 2017

1000 IslandsThis morning we are taken by bus to Fulford Place, a turn-of-the-century mansion. We tour this magnificent home that has entertained royalty, prime ministers and celebrities. Then we depart "Loyalist" Brockville to leisurely meander through the famous and beautiful 1000 Islands en route to Rockport. Upon arrival, a bus will transfer us to the 1000 Islands Skydeck for a breathtaking view of the area. This evening we will have live big band music and dancing onboard.

Day 7 - Kingston

Tuesday, July 4th, 2017

St. Lawrence RiverThis morning we visit the Heritage Center which is dedicated to preserving the unique history of this region. The Captain takes us on a waterfront tour through the Wanderer's Channel to Kingston where nature lovers will be in awe of the wildlife seen along the way. This afternoon following the Closing Ceremonies in the Grand Saloon, we disembark the vessel filled with wonderful memories and a renewed vision of the beautiful country we can be proud to call home.
