Day 1 - Los Angeles, California

CoralPrincessToday, we embark our beautiful cruise ship at the port of Los Angeles and begin our adventure along the Pacific coast to the Panama Canal. We settle into our cabins and get acquainted with our deluxe floating home.

Watch local women demonstrate the process of turning cacao beans into this decadent treat. For a deeper understanding of the local people, visit a banana and coffee plantation. Or, take an excursion to the ruins at Izapa, noted for its large, intricately carved "Tree of Life" stone.

Day 7 - Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala

Surrounded by three volcanoes, this is the deepest lake in Central America. With varied microclimates, ideal rainfall patterns and rich soils, the area is a great place to visit a coffee plantation - some have been producing the world's finest coffees for over 100 years. Experience Chapin Nature Park, a reserve that features a walk-through zoo and a drive-through safari where you can observe free-roaming wild animals.

Day 10 - Panama Canal, Panama

PanamaCanalFor any true seafaring explorer, the Panama Canal is a must-see destination. Dubbed “one of the seven wonders of the modern world” this 48-mile waterway divides two continents and connects two mighty oceans. On the Atlantic side, the three chambers of the Gatun Locks raise ships 87 feet above sea level, while the Miraflores Locks transfer 26 million gallons of water in under 7 minutes at its Pacific end. The water for the locks is supplied by Gatun Lake, an artificial reservoir of 168 square miles. Passengers on tours are taken ashore by tenders. Later in the day, the ship retraces her route through the Gatun locks to dock in Colon in the Caribbean. Tours return to this point. All remaining passengers are able to disembark in Colon, where they may explore the dockside shops. There are no tours offered in Colon.

Central America's historic and cultural roots are celebrated and displayed in Panama's oldest settlements, where exceptional museums, archeological ruins, and Colonial monuments tell the story. Ride the world's first transcontinental railway; hike into the dense rainforest, home to over 1,000 species of animals; or pay a visit to an Embera Indian village in the heart of Chagres National Park.

Lankester GardensPuntarenas is our gateway to Costa Rica's wonders, and its capital city of San Jose. This is the place to ride through the rainforest canopy on an aerial tram, visit a cloud forest, or glide along a tropical river to see the mangroves where crocodiles, lizards and waterfowl roam.

Day 14 - San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua

SanJuandelSurNicaraguaSan Juan del Sur is a lovely coastal town popular for surfing and idyllic sunsets. From here, embark on a unique excursion to see the colonial city of Granada, take a boat ride on Lake Nicaragua, visit a volcano, or shop in one of the small towns. San Juan del Sur is an anchorage port. Transfer to shore will be via the ship's tender service.

Today, enjoy the beach, some shopping, or some of the world's finest fishing!
